Best food around! Never disappointed. Everything tastes fresh and yummy. One of my favorite restaurants. I've had their Mac and cheese before and it's one of the best I've ever had. Even their salad is amazing especially with the cheese that comes with it.
This time around, I have dietary restrictions, so I asked if there was anyway I could get plain grilled chicken. They said no problem and the staff was super nice. It was so good. Huge portions, never left hungry all the times I've been there! -

Well this was a total mixed bag experience. Let's start off with the place itself. You walk in the front door and when you look up, yes you look up, you see the bar. Well actually you don't see the bar you see the people sitting at the bar. You make a left up a few steps and you get to the dinning room level. If you want to go to the bar you'd actually have to step up again. This I found to be a very peculiar yet interesting design. The decor is definitely old school. Dark with tons of pictures of celebrities and prominent Italians. I actually found the place to be somewhat charming.
After being seated, we were greeted by our server. He was very upbeat and cordial. As he took our orders he commented on the selections and was very helpful in deciding on what to order. Overall the service was decent, however it did have it's flaws which didn't help the rating.
Now the most important piece, the food. They started us off with bread (Italian and Garlic) and Caponata. I thought the Caponata was delicious especially on the Italian bread. Next came the salad served family style. It was a nice salad with good dressing. We ordered the imported cheese to top it off, which we found out later was an up charge; the server never mentioned this. For my main course I had one of the specials; crabmeat and spinach over Cavatelli. It was served with a cream sauce and topped with cheese. The Cavatelli was cooked fine, but the meal itself had way too much cheese on top and was very heavy. The overall taste wasn't that great, all I tasted was cheese. My wife ordered a meal with Rigatoni, but when they brought out her plate it was only the Rigatoni in a red sauce. She didn't ask for that as she asked for something that came with a pasta, but all she got was the pasta. We were in a hurry so she didn't make a stink about it. She ordered a side of meatballs which came out quickly. I tried her Rigatoni and I thought the pasta and sauce were nothing to write home about. She said her meatball was ok. My friends girlfriend ordered the EggPlant Parm and I got to try a taste. Now, that was really good. As far as drinks, they specialize in wine and cocktails. The beer list was not great consisting of mainly domestics. The cocktails sounded good, but I was driving so I stuck with water. Our friends got dessert but we didn't so I can't comment myself, but they found them to be very good.
Now for the flaws in the service, in addition to getting my wife's meal wrong. When they brought out the food it didn't come out all at once. There were six of us all together and the food came out like this: EggPlant Parm and Salmon, wait 2 minutes, chicken fingers, wait 2 minutes, the special and Rigatoni, wait 2 minutes, and then the Caesar Salad. So if you abide by proper table etiquette and wait for everyone to get their meal, the first two people's meals were getting cold. I didn't think much of it at first, but the same thing happened with dessert.
As you can see it was a mixed bag experience and hence the 3 star rating. Not sure yet if we'll go back given the sheer number of Italian restaurants in South Jersey. -

Had chicken vincenzo. Chicken was cooked perfectly with excellent breading but I had to wipe all the sauce off and could not eat the side pasta because of the white sauce which was advertised as a blush sauce. Not. The sauce was one big scoop of domino sugar. Chef downgraded to cook in this review. Bar company was great as well as bartender.

My family and I stopped here on our way to a movie & we loved the atmosphere. There was only one other family in there when we came in and we were seated right away. We finally got our food and it was delicious. Our only complaint is, for the amount of people there we were stuck waiting for over an hour. Although I don't blame the waitress she was very kind and was the only one working and was doing the best she could.
